Lot of Two Assorted Slim Jim Holsters. Comprising: 1) Unmarked plain, black leather "Slim-Jim" holster with straight cut top, double-line finely stitched borders. Once lined with chamois, the interior showing remnants remaining. Single replaced belt loop on reverse and lacking front security strap, the placement of the keeper for this strap clearly visible on front where stitch holes still remain. Probably made for a Colt Model 1851 Navy percussion revolver. 2) Unmarked hand-carved and hand-tooled "Slim Jim" holster of dark brown leather, with finely hand-stitched seam. Obverse showing detailed, hand-carved and hand-tooled floral decoration, encompassing the complete surface of the front in its design. Reverse side with hand-stitched narrow single belt loop. This holster seems to fit the Colt Navy revolver as well. An excellent example of early frontier creativity. Condition: Both are fine as configured, showing period repairs, age wear and patina, commensurate with age of holsters.

The pre and post sales experience was wonderful and flawless. Heritage has the best in-house operation I have ever seen and their people are not only professional but fun to work with, especially Steve C.

As for Heritage's online system… Yes the interface is more complex than what we are used to with SAN but what is behind that interface is amazing for sellers and buyers alike. It is real time and for a real serious auction buyer there is nothing better in the auction industry, bar none.
