    Description

Fantastic Group of Four Powder Horns. Each similar in form with sizes ranging from 6" to 8" in length. Three have flat brass bases; the other a carved wooden base, this latter example with an armorial symbol dated "1794". It is unknown if this decoration is from the period. All examples are generally in very good condition, a couple with loose spouts and one with a 3" crack. The lot is also accompanied by a small 1 1/4" x 2 1/2" horn box with small pivoting lid. The exact purpose of this quaint little box is unknown.
