Set of Civil War US Artillery EM Equipment. Artillery saber belt with M1855 plate with silver wreath marked on the back of the belt "MADE BY / J. T. PITTMAN / N. Y." Set overall excellent with matching belt and keeper number and just some minor crazing, but no flaking on the finish. Although the leather mount for attaching it to the belt is in place the short saber sling is missing. Else an exceptional example of this regulation belt; Very heavy leather flap holster with incised line decoration around the edge of the flap and tab in excellent sound condition, Absolutely no crackling or flaking and interestingly the three copper rivets on the wide belt loop are each marked with a five pointed star. Excellent sound condition overall with a small 1/2" X 2" section neatly removed from the back of the flap, clearly to expose the revolver's trigger; Very nice regulation pistol cartridge box bearing inspector's mark of T. J. Shepherd and script US on flap. Just some finish crackling on the front flap and some minor flaking on the top but a very nice sound example with excellent markings. Nice grouping.
