    Combination Key Matchlock Curiosa Pistol.

    Approximately 6-inches overall with a 4-inch round barrel. Iron composition. Top of barrel molded with a priming pan and it extends to the oval compartment containing the mechanism for the snap/matchlock. Hammer resembles curved animal. The oval mechanism has a partially visible trigger underneath that functions once cocked. Note: Similar example can be found on book titled; Corpus and History of Hand Firearms by Thomas T. Hoopes and William G. Renwick [figure 178].

    Condition: Moderate to heavy wear with patina and pitting. Mechanically sound. Dark bore.
