    Description

Vintage Richmond, Virginia Cylinder Churn. A butter churn made of white cedar, metal crank with wooden handle, tin bands, complete with internal paddles, 9.5" in diameter x 15.25" high, original RCW of Richmond, Virginia stencil trade mark, original "New Style White Cedar Cylinder Churn" stencil on side, approximate 3 gallon size. The churn functions; however, there is some separation and looseness of the wooden slats and metal bands due to shrinkage from lack of use. The porcelain knob on the lid is a likely modern replacement, minor defects to wood from use, else in very good condition. This is a very nice example of a cylinder churn and a perfect addition to a vintage farm kitchen collection.

The pre and post sales experience was wonderful and flawless. Heritage has the best in-house operation I have ever seen and their people are not only professional but fun to work with, especially Steve C.

As for Heritage's online system… Yes the interface is more complex than what we are used to with SAN but what is behind that interface is amazing for sellers and buyers alike. It is real time and for a real serious auction buyer there is nothing better in the auction industry, bar none.
