    Description

Uncle Tom's Cabin: Staffordshire Figure of Eva and Uncle Tom. Harriet Beecher Stowe's bestseller, "Uncle Tom's Cabin", energized the anti-slavery movement and also spawned souvenir china. Made in Staffordshire, England, this example is 10" tall and reads "Uncle Tom" in raised letters on the base. Unlike many, this one has been hand decorated with lots of detail to the clothing. The base has suffered a large chip on the bottom that cannot be seen until you turn it over. A small hairline is under Tom's foot. A great display piece.
