    Description

    Hen and Chick Mechanical Bank - White made by J. & E. Stevens Co., Cromwell, CT, circa: 1901. A slot in front of the hen holds the coin. Raise the lever and the hen moves her head as though calling for the chick. The chick emerges from under her and pecks the coin into the bank. There is a bellows that simulates a clucking sound. From the William Esser Collection.
