    Description

Cast Iron Mechanical Banks: Eagle 7 Eaglets and Bull Dog. This lot contains two mechanical banks. 1) The Eagle Feeding the Eaglets has nice paint and is working but it is also missing one of the eaglets. The other eaglet is no longer afixed to the base. The base is complete and has the closure to the coin holder. It would be great for parts. 2) The Bull Dog is in good condition but has no closure on the bottom and there is obvious paint loss to the dog. both banks were made by the J. E. Stevens Co.

We had a wonderful time in New York during the October 2013 Historical Manuscripts auction that featured my mother’s papers collected during her tenure as Martin Luther King, Jr.’s secretary. In fact, the entire experience from beginning to end has been a pleasure.
