    SLAVE SALE INCLUDING THE SALE OF TWINS. This piece is an 1852 agreement to sel slaves to settle an estate in extremely fine condition. 8 3/4" by 7 3/4" handwritten on plain ,ruled paper. Dated December 18,1852, this document records an agreement between the heirs of Jonathan Wright to sell the slaves named Preston, Jonathan, Tom, George, Charles, John Thomas, Phil, Fraze, Harriet and her twin children (infants), Mary, Bennett, aria, Joanna and Lee, th eproceeds to be equally devided between the heirs. A notation at the lower left records that one heir got out early, selling his interest to two other family members for $1200. We wonder if the twins got to stay with their mother or if they were seperated fromo her or each other.
