Roskopf "Mountain Climbing" Engraved Goldtone Case Pocket Watch Circa 1900. This is a gorgeous 2.125" diameter watch with a high-relief scene on the back depicting two men climbing a rugged mountain with ropes. The scene is surrounded by a flower and leaf design border which is repeated on the front bezel- all against a black antiqued background. The movement cover is also engraved with a scene reminiscent of the Swiss alps; a climber's backpack and equipment is shown in the foreground while the background features the mountains, a climber and a quaint mountain home. The movement itself has a circular marking with "SCS" in the center and "Systeme Roskopf" around the outside. The Roman-numeraled dial is beautiful with black numbers, gold minute marks, a sunken seconds dial, and an elaborate manufacturer's logo in the form of a flower. The watch is running and is crown-wound and push-button set. The condition is very nice with essentially no noticeable wear. What better scenes to have on a Swiss watch!

The pre and post sales experience was wonderful and flawless. Heritage has the best in-house operation I have ever seen and their people are not only professional but fun to work with, especially Steve C.

As for Heritage's online system… Yes the interface is more complex than what we are used to with SAN but what is behind that interface is amazing for sellers and buyers alike. It is real time and for a real serious auction buyer there is nothing better in the auction industry, bar none.
