    Description

    Pro-Slavery Creamware Bowl. 1760-1765 Creamware transfer-printed bowl made in Liverpool, England for the export market. The bowl has a scene of a couple seated in a garden being served by a black servant; there is also an image of a shepherd leaning against a tree. Pictured on page 156 in Anthony Tibbles 1994 study Transatlantic Slavery - Against Human Dignity. Some minor edge wear, but transfer is very strong and crisp. Measures 4.125" across and 2.5" tall.
