    Collection of Twenty-one 19th Century Illustrations of Reptiles and Fish. 9.5 x 12.5 inches. From Animate Creation; Popular Edition of "Our Living World," A Natural History, by the Rev. T. G. Wood, Revised and Adapted to American Zoology by Joseph B. Holder, New York: Selmar Hess, 1885, various volumes. A lot of beautiful 19th century illustrations including 17 monochromatic and 4 chromolithograph plates featuring fish and reptiles including swordfish, crabs, frogs, turtles, flying fish, lobsters, and various monitors, lizards and snakes. With the exception of some toning at the margins, all examples are in very good condition.
