    Thomas McKenney and James Hall Print: MOA-NA-HON-GA, An Ioway Chief. Uncolored, 14.5" x 21". Published by F. W. Greenough of Philadelphia. "Drawn, Printed & Coloured at I. T. Bowen's Lithographic Establishment No. 94, Walnut St." This print was published in McKenney and Hall's History of the Indian Tribes of North America, an important piece of American history illustrating leaders of the Indian nations. McKenney, the head of the U. S. Bureau of Indian Affairs, battled to preserve parts of Native American culture. The Ioway were moved from present-day Iowa to reservations in Kansas, Nebraska, and Oklahoma. Fine. From the U. I. "Chick" and Cecilia Harris Collection.
