    Six Detailed Engraved Illustrations Featuring Scenes of China Circa 1836. 11 x 8.5 inches. Extracted from Fisher's Drawing Room Scrap-Book, 1836, London & Paris: Fisher, Son, & Co., 1836. The illustrations are clean with some light toning at the margins and occasional light scattered foxing which doesn't affect the central image.

    11" x 8.5" (one 805" x 11"). Extracted from Fisher's Drawing Room Scrap-Book, 1836, London & Paris: Fisher, Son, & Co., 1836. These exceptional engravings were done by some of the leading European artists and engravers of the period featuring detailed illustrations of scenes in Nanking, Canton, and other wonders of China. Titles are:

    Raree Show, at Lin-sin-choo

    Apartment in a Mandarin's House, near Nanking

    Pavilion and Gardens of a Mandarin, near Peking

    Ceremony of "Meeting the Spring"

    Macao, China (with printed date 1832)

    Chinese Pagodah - Between Canton & Whampoa (this with printed date 1832)

    The illustrations are clean with some light toning at the margins and occasional light scattered foxing which doesn't affect the central image. All are black and white. All are in excellent condition except for an occasion minor spot of foxing. The last two plates may be from another publication. Unlike the first four, the last two have a plate mark, and the paper is approximately 1/8 of an inch longer. All are in beautiful condition, untrimmed, with binding edges on one side, and gilt on the others.
