    Mary Gartside. Untitled Floral Still Life. Hand-colored aquatint engraving by R. & D. Havell, dated 1811, most likely from Gartside's Ornamental Groups, Descriptive of Flowers, Birds, Shells, Fruit, Insects, etc. Watermarked "J Whatman 1810." In very good condition.

    A lovely engraving from Gartside's Ornamental Groups, Descriptive of Flowers, Birds, Shells, Fruit, Insects, etc., and Illustrative of a New Theory of Colouring, from Designs and Paintings. On toned paper with a light mat burn. Mounting and cello tape to reverse, some of which has caused minor staining to a few places on the front side's edges. Light penciled notations. 15.25 x 20 inches.
