Octavo edition. 7 octavo volumes. 500 hand colored lithograph plates after Audubon by W. E. Hitchcock, R. Trembley and others. Printed by J. T. Bowen of Philadelphai (plates 1-135, 151-500) or George Endicott of New York (plates 136-150).

    'Canada Grouse,' plate 294, volume five [and:] 'Western Shore Lark,' plate 497, volume seven [and:] 'Purple Gallinule,' plate 303, volume five [and:] 'Shore Lark,' plate 151, volume three 'Great Auk,' plate 465, volume seven [and:] 'Harlequin Duck,' plate 409, volume six.

    Plates 497, 303, 465 and 409 are uncut, displaying the gilt edges and binding edge, and measure 10 inches x 6.5 inches. Plate 294 measures 10.35 inches x 6.5 inches and has been trimmed on the binding edge. Plate 151 measures 10.35 inches x 6.65 inches and is not trimmed. 

    Plate 294 has a repaired tear in the margin. Very minor toning and minimal foxing. Very good condition.
