    John Gould (1804-1881). Four Prints: Climacteris Rufa. [and:] Blue Thrush. [and:] Linota Montium. [and:] Podoces Humilis.

    Four hand-colored lithographs, including: Climacteris Rufa, from Gould's Birds of Australia (London: 1840-1869). Very good with general toning and light spotting. Paper loss to all corners, a result of careless removal of mounting tape. Four shallow tears along edges reinforced on reverse with cellophane tape. [and:] Blue Thrush, from Gould's Birds of Europe (London: 1832-1837). Excellent condition with general toning. [and:] Linota Montium, from Gould's Birds of Great Britain (London: 1862-1873). Very good with general toning and mild spotting. Right side shows binding edge. [and:] Podoces Humilis, from Gould's Birds of Asia (London: 1850-1883). Very good condition with general toning and some faint smudging under the title and at top right corner. All prints have light penciled notations. All have mounting tape to reverse. Prints measure 14 x 21 inches; 14.25 x 21 inches; 15 x 22 inches; and 14.5 x 21.5 inches, respectively.
