    Jean Baptiste Audebert (1759-1800) and Louis Jean Pierre Vieillot (1748-1831). Three Bird Prints.

     

    Three hand-colored engravings from Histoire Naturelle et Générale des Colibris, Oiseaux-Mouches, Jacamars et Promerops  (Paris: 1802), including: Le Colibri vert, Plate 15. [and:] L'Oiseau-mouche brun-gris, Plate 28. [and:] Le Rubis male, jeune âge, Plate 33. All in very good condition, with light toning and foxing. Le Colibri vert has a taped-over staple in the upper left corner, tape on the upper right corner, pin hole at the top edge in the middle, a three-quarter-inch tear on the right edge, tear with tape residue on the lower left and some tape residue on the back. L'Oiseau-mouche brun-gris  has two pieces of tape on top edge, three sections on left side with tape residue, and small tears along the left edge. Le Rubis male, jeune âge has two pieces of tape on top edge, small tears upper left corner and at bottom edge, and crease on lower left corner. All have light penciled notations. All measure 10 x 13.25 inches.
