    George Perry. Four Shell Prints: Four hand-colored aquatints, from Conchology (London: 1811). All in very good condition.

    More Information:

    This lot includes: Pecten/Tellina - Plate 55. [and:] Spondylus/Chama - Plate 59. [and:] Mitra - Plate 39. [and:] Terebra/Aculea - Plate 16. All in very good condition with minor toning along the edges and light foxing. All have been trimmed along the binding edge. Pecten has a stain at the upper left corner from adhesive leaching. Spondylus also has a small paper chip and some ruffling along the right edge. Mitra has a band of heavy toning along the left and bottom edges. Accompanying text pages are present, all have been hinged to the backs of the prints with discolored cello tape. All have penciled notations. All measure 11 x 16.5 inches.
