    An interesting group of illustrations concerning the outbreak of the Ghost Dancing movement among American Indians in the late 19th-century. Included are many illustrations of ceremonial objects used in conjunction with Ghost Dancing such as prayer sticks and ghost shirts; illustrations of the Ghost Dance being performed; portraits of several important leaders in the movement, several maps, and finally, several illustrations of the Wounded Knee battlefield including scenes of the casualties. All examples are in very good condition.
