    Description

Blue Heron Audubon Royal Octavo Print. Plate number 372 features the Blue Heron. Images of birds with colorful plumage are always a collector favorite. This one shows a young male with cornflower blue plumage and a fantastic marshy environment. Blue jays, cardinals, and other brightly colored birds are always on the top of many collectors want lists, and this print is no exception. It comes complete with four pages of text of observations and facts from Audubon. When these birds are very young they have snow-white plumage which is unusual for birds of this genus. The print is oriented horizontally and bears the holes from being disbound on the right edge. Light yellowing has occurred around the edges; a very faint reddish tint has settled on the edges of the page, only visible when the print is held at eye level.

This was my first time dealing with an auction house, and I am 100% completely impressed with Heritage. There is not an aspect of this process that I have a critique for.
