Extracted from the Temple of the Muses (Neu-Eröfneter Musen-Tempel), Amsterdam: Zachariah Chatelain, 1733. Bernard Picart (1673-1733) was a French engraver known chiefly for his book illustrations. His work is characterized by a minute attention to detail. The paper has toned, especially along the edges with some modest scattered foxing, otherwise it is in good condition.
