    [Luigi Marta, editor]. Two Costume Prints. Two chromolithographs highlighted with gum Arabic, from Costumi della Festa (Naples, 1854). Both are in generally very good condition with foxing, tears, and some paper loss outside the image area.

    More Information:

    Two chromolithographs featuring ornate costumes worn by the nobility attending an elaborate costume ball held in 1854. Plate XII, with eight costumed figures, is attributed to H. Emy. Foxing present around the margins, outside the image area. One quarter-inch small closed tear to right edge. [and:] Plate X, with nine figures, is attributed to Gustave Janet. A one-inch closed tear to bottom edge. a four and one-half inch chip to left side, with a four-inch crease extending to the bottom edge. Image area is clean. Both prints measure 21 x 15 inches.
