    Lot of Nine 19th Century Steel Engraved Illustrations Depicting Historical Figures, including three with Napoleon. From various works. [N.d.: c. 1875]. 6.25 inches x 9.5 inches. Very good.This lot features steel engravings with historical figures such as Napoleon, Cromwell, Cardinal Wolsey, and Peter the Great. The illustrations are exceptional examples of the mid-19th Century engraver's art. All are in very good condition with light to moderate foxing around the edges, the central images of the plates are fairly clean, with only some short tears or blemishes around the edges of some prints, with a few edges trimmed close.
