Octavo edition. 7 octavo volumes. 500 hand colored lithograph plates after Audubon by W. E. Hitchcock, R. Trembley and others. Printed by J. T. Bowen of Philadelphai (plates 1-135, 151-500) or George Endicott of New York (plates 136-150).

    'Red-cockaded Woodpecker,' plate 264, volume four [and:] 'Ultramarine Jay,' plate 232, volume four [and:] 'Phillips Woodpecker,' plate 259, volume four [and:] 'Red-breasted Woodpecker,' plate 266, volume four [and:] 'Black Tern,' plate 438, volume seven [and:] 'Snow Lark Bunting,' plate 156, volume three.

    Each plate is uncut, displaying the gilt edges and binding edge, and measure 10.25 inches x 6.75 inches.

    Very minor toning, tiny foxing to plate 232, tiny pencil notation in the margin to plate 266. Near fine condition.
