    Description

HAND STITCHED FOLKART BLACK AMERICANA NEEDLE WORK.

As with many items, duplicates of lots previously offered surface after the publication of our prices realized. We offered another example of this hand stitched piece of Black Americana in our Dec. 2003 Americana section. A primary Victorian past-time was needle work and this piece is a wonderful example in the folkart tradition, picturing two black children surrounded by cotton fields with the slogan "Down Where the Cotton Blossoms Grow".Although the materials are similar to the previous one offered, some of the colors used are different and the stitching is more crude. Excellent condition for an amazing piece of folk art fabric. 18 3/4" by 19 1/2".
    Additional shipping cost may apply.

The pre and post sales experience was wonderful and flawless. Heritage has the best in-house operation I have ever seen and their people are not only professional but fun to work with, especially Steve C.

As for Heritage's online system… Yes the interface is more complex than what we are used to with SAN but what is behind that interface is amazing for sellers and buyers alike. It is real time and for a real serious auction buyer there is nothing better in the auction industry, bar none.
