    Hand-Colored Aquatint of Baltimore by William James Bennett. 26" x 20" aquatint titled "Baltimore From Federal Hill." Published by Henry J. Megary of New York in 1834. Printed by J. & G. Neale at Illman & Philbrows. Painted and engraved by W. J. Bennett. An idyllic and charming view of the inner harbor with bustling ship traffic. The foreground shows two hunters conversing with a young boy, while a goat-herder speaks with another gentleman with chickens and geese roaming freely. Beautiful coloration with crisp details. Mounted to a larger sheet and matted.

    Condition: Some slight trimming to bottom edge. Scattered restoration to bottom left corner, left extreme edge and three three abrasions in the sky. Needs to be re-hinged to mat. Very clean and bright.
