    Description

Gentling, Scott & Stuart, with John Graves. Of Birds and Texas. Austin: Wind River Press, 1986. 223 pp. First Edition. Elephant folio in linen slipcase. Illustrated with 40 color lithographic plates (28" x 22") of Texas birds in the wild and 10 Texas landscapes. Limited to 500 numbered copies, this one is #113 and is signed by the Gentling brothers and by Graves, who wrote the accompanying text. A landmark in Texas wildlife art and fine printing, this is by far the most elaborate such work ever produced in the Lone Star State. These fantastic prints are often sold piecemeal and are rarely offered in a complete form. Mint as issued, and out of print. Courtesy of Michael Heaston, Austin.
