Sword Cane: with a Firman and Sons Triangle Blade and a Carved Bamboo Shaft. The handle is topped by a bamboo whorl and extends 5.5" down the shaft. The triangular steel blade, measuring 29.25", is elaborately etched with floral designs on all three sides. It also has a trophy of arms and the maker's name "Firman & Son 185[3]". The blade is older than the cane. The dark honey colored shaft measures 35" including the handle and is extensively carved with floral motifs below the split. There are several cracks below the split and the shaft is missing the ferrule, else, very good.
