Description

War of 1812: Sunderland Luster Pitcher. 5.5" pitcher with splotch or sponge decorated pink lustre both inside and out. Transfers captioned: "Major Genl. Brown Niagara" and "Commodore Bainbridge". 4" hairline extending from the rim downward, alongside the Bainbridge portrait. These are among the most desirable of War of 1812 ceramics and are increasingly hard to find. Besides pink, apple green was also employed.
