DescriptionGeorge Washington: 1869 Pennsylvania Jacquard Woven Wool Coverlet. 76" x 82" coverlet done in red, green and blue. It has a central floral rosette. Portraits of "Washington" appear in each corner, inscribed "Hail. 1869", interspersed with images of the State Capitol building, doves and horses. There is fringe on the sides and bottom. The top & bottom are inscribed "Made by Philip Schum. Lancaster. Pa."
Condition: Even light soiling, scattered wear, most pronounced on the top edge (the side without fringe). Vibrant colors.
