    Description

Federal Period: Castleford Sugar Bowl with Numismatic Motifs. 6" tall Castleford-style salt-glaze stoneware sugar bowl. One side depicts the Federal eagle in bronze color while the other side has a bust of Lady Liberty above a wreath (both of these designs appear on U.S. coinage of the period). The bowl has three missing pieces in the "gallery" retaining wall at the top. The lid has some missing pieces or chips and shows evidence of prior repair. The missing pieces, or most of them, are present and can be used in any future repair.
