Betty Pat Gatliff, Bust of Edward Botzer, Bronze. This is actually a piece of forensic anthropology, as well as artistry. Botzer was a sergeant in "G" Company who was killed in the charge on the south end of the Indian village on June 25, 1876. A partial skull, excavated in 1989, was tentatively identified as Botzer. Using photographs and access to the skull itself, Forensic artist Betty Gatliff crafted this reconstruction. Measures 7.5" wide x 8" long x 13.75" tall.

Betty Pat Gatliff is a pioneer in the field of forensic art and forensic facial reconstruction. Working with anthropologist Dr. Clyde Snow, the Gatliff/ Snow American Tissue Depth Method was developed; it defines numerous "landmarks" on the skull and determines an average tissue depth for each. Her work includes creating life-size models of JFK's head for the U.S. House Select Committee on Assassinations, helping to identify some of John Wayne Gacy's victims, reconstructing the face of Tutankhamun for LIFE Magazine, and working as a technical consultant for the television show Quincy, M.E. She has taught her techniques at the FBI Academy and the University of Oklahoma.
    From the Glenwood Swanson Collection.

The pre and post sales experience was wonderful and flawless. Heritage has the best in-house operation I have ever seen and their people are not only professional but fun to work with, especially Steve C.

As for Heritage's online system… Yes the interface is more complex than what we are used to with SAN but what is behind that interface is amazing for sellers and buyers alike. It is real time and for a real serious auction buyer there is nothing better in the auction industry, bar none.
