    Black Boy With Watermelon Lidded Jar. This unusual ceramic composition, circa 1900, consists of a young black fellow emerging from a haystack with the ever-present watermelon in tow. Realistically modeled and painted in natural colors. "COPY RIGHTED" stamped on the underside of the base. Small pinpoints of paint loss from normal wear, else very fine condition. 9.5" high.
