    Description

Louisiana Slave Document in French. This document is dated July 8th, 1828; it contains six handwritten pages in dark iron-gall ink. The document contains legal information and procedure for the procurement of a servant. It is signed by an unknown person and initialed on each page presumably by the signer. The document measures 8" x 12.5".
The document is in fine condition; the only problem being slight transference of the ink from facing pages, and soiling from dirt and age. An interesting lot, waiting to be fully delved into.
