Reigart, including: four small blocks of wood sealed in a glass bottle with a card reading, "Piece of 'The Father of the Forest' 376 feet high"; five pieces of wood, also encased in a bottle, with a card, "Piece of 'The King of the Forest' one of the Largest Trees in the World. 320 feet high. 80 [feet] Cir.", and a second card, "The Big Tree of California. The King of the Forest"; another piece of wood, 6" x 1", with a label, "King of the Forest. 320 feet high. 80 [feet] Cir."; and, a small piece of petrified wood mounted on a card upon which is written, "Piece of petrified wood from the Dismal Swamp, North Carolina. Sent to Miss York by one of the soldiers of Gen. Burnside's Expedition, Mch. 1862".
