    Lot of Two Assorted Civil War Cartridge Boxes. Comprising: 1) Union revolver cartridge box with inner pouch flap faintly marked: Smith & Bourn & Co./Makers/Hartford/Conn. "JPM" carved carved into flap as well. Outer flap marked: U.S. and showing a period soldier repair to leather tab. Two belt loops on reverse. 2) Unmarked example with single-piece outer flap and two belt loops on reverse. Condition: 1) Very good as configured. Repair to outer flap tab. Minor surface worming on inner flap, obscuring some markings. Both with wear and surface checking. 2) Good. Inner pouch with top shortened. Inner flap removed. Outer surface with some stiffness and surface checking.
