    Lot of Five Assorted Excavated Union Army Brass Belt and Accoutrement Plates. Comprising: 1) U.S. Oval Accoutrement Plate. Excavated, Battle Of Cedar Creek, Virginia. From Belle Grove Plantation. Site of Custer, Merritt and 19th Corps. Great ID'd plate from historic battle. Beautiful chocolate brown face with full lead. Complete with both hooks, which are straight and solid. Has the very slightest crease in face. Does not distract from the plate. 2) Union Round Regulation 1826 Breastplate. Excavated, Battle Of Cedar Creek, Virginia. From Belle Grove Plantation. Site of Custer, Merritt and 19th Corps. Great ID'd plate from historic battle. Beautiful chocolate brown face. No hooks. 3) Excavated U.S. Oval Belt Plate. Lead-filled back with "Puppy Paw" hooks. Found at Corinth, Miss. 4) SNY Brass Oval Lead-filled Belt Plate. "Puppy Paw hooks. Found at Cedar Creek, Virginia, Belle Grove Plantation. Site of Custer, Merritt, & 19th Corps. 5) Excavated U.S. Oval Belt Plate. "Puppy Paw" hooks. Same site as #4. Condition: All are good to very good as excavated, showing age wear and dug patina. Some have shovel marks.
