Abraham Lincoln: Bronze Roundel Plaque by Edith Woodman Burroughs. 13" bronze plaque featuring a profile of Lincoln with a wreath towards the bottom. Titled: "Abraham Lincoln 1809-1909" and signed "Copyright 1909 by Edith Woodman Burroughs". We are told Burroughs was one of the contestants for the design of the new Lincoln penny. She studied with Augustus St. Gaudens and designed two fountains for the Panama Pacific International Exposition in 1915. She was an associate member of the National Academy of Design. Her works appear in many museums and galleries. This plaque is exceptionally well-done with a deep patina to match. It is missing one of two suspension loops. There are two threaded posts on the verso for mounting to a wall.
