    More Information:

    11" x 8.75" (landscape) or 8.75" x 11" (portrait). Slight toning to the plates mainly at the edges with some scattered light foxing, otherwise in very good condition.

Perry, United States Navy by Order of the Government of the United States, Volume II, Washington: Beverley Tucker, Senate Printer, 1856. 

    Beautiful color lithographs of various bird species encountered by Commodore Mathew C. Perry's expedition to Japan. The illustrations include a woodpecker, pheasants, and other colorful varieties. Each plate is worthy of framing and would make an attractive addition to any sportsman's lair or office.
