Brillantez Cigar Label by O. L. Schwencke Lithographers of New York. A lithographed 7.5" x 6" inner label with a strong patriotic theme. Pictured is Lady Liberty with a red cap (symbolic of America's break from oppression) holding a shield with an image of a glorious sunrise (symbolizing a new day or era), an American bald eagle, olive branches (peace), and a ship and factory in the background (both symbolizing commerce and industry). O. L. Schwencke started his lithography business in 1884, and labels under his name were produced until 1910. This label is likely from early in that period because of the lack of embossing. Fine condition with one crease and some edge roughness; a rare label.
