Rare English Antique Ammunition Cartridge Display Board by Kynoch, Birmingham. Framed under glass in a black and gold shadowbox frame measuring 16 ¾-inches wide X 48-inches tall. The board features over one hundred examples of the company's cartridges, from the smallest .22 short cartridge to the many variety of brass and pasteboard shot shells available. All are displayed in an attractive geometric pattern, using the groups of each type to create a comprehensive commercial exhibit. All examples are mounted on green baize background with a gold gilt liner and shadowbox frame. The legend: KYNOCH'S graces the top of the display and BIRMINGHAM the bottom, a reminder of the popularity in the 19th century of the English firm. An attractive and distinctive antique ammunition retail display board. Condition: Fine to excellent. One small cartridge appears to be loose, the remainder are mounted securely. Some age fading, minor wear and chips to frame, not effecting the display appearance.

We had a wonderful time in New York during the October 2013 Historical Manuscripts auction that featured my mother’s papers collected during her tenure as Martin Luther King, Jr.’s secretary. In fact, the entire experience from beginning to end has been a pleasure.
