    Rare Antique English Antique Ammunition Cartridge Display Board by Eley Brothers. Framed under glass, in a classic oak frame, measuring 25 ¼-inches wide X 30 ¾-inches tall. This rare commercial merchandise board displays over a hundred examples of the brass and pasteboard cartridges available from the Eley firm to the retail shooting customer of the period. The cartridges are mounted in an attractive geometric starburst pattern against a neutral grey background, several showing the cutaway view, displaying the layering of the materials contained in a shot shell. Names are printed on the individual shells and exhibit colorful monikers such as: Zenith, Acme, Achilles, Neptune, Rocket, Vulcan, Mars and others. The center of the display exhibits the registered trademark of the company, being a gold shield on a blue background with the letters EB in script in the center. The outer frame is printed with the legends: Eley, Sporting, Military and Cartridges. A handsome and rare ammunition board, worthy of any fine antique firearms collection. Condition: Excellent. The frame showing light wear, commensurate with age and minor chips and scuffs to molding.
