    Lot of Four Small Interesting Powder Flasks.
    Comprising: 1) Engraved circular and oval panels with gold and silver wash on a rectangular frame. Unknown manufacturer. Overall size 2 1/2-inches. 2) and 3) with a Shell design in cooper. Matching pair. Possibly Allen & Wheelock design and origin. 3 dots above shell. Overall size 2 7/8-inches. These 2 examples match page 288 [plate 303] on The Powder Flask Book by Riling. 4) Sheffield, England circle flask with beaded bands. Possibly by Sykes. Overall length 3-inches. Similar and almost identical examples on pages 189 and 304 [plate 434] on Riling's book.

    Condition: Good to very good. All exhibit age wear and patina. Light verdigris. Minor bumps and bruises, minor dents. Marred corners and edges, otherwise fine. A nice grouping of early style designs.
