    Lot of 1 Rare Box of Antique Sharps Rifle Ammunition by Sharps and Other Mixed Cartridges. Comprising: 1) Partial unmarked box with 17 primed cases with lead visible below the necks. Headstamps read: F A 03 6. Top of box marked "20" in pencil. 2) Full Box of Ten .44 Caliber Sharps Cartridges. Box is marked: SHARPS RIFLE COMPANY,/HARTFORD, CONN. In period ink, hand corrected to read: 10 METALLIC/CENTRE FIRE CARTRIDGES, /FOR/ 44 CALIBRE. 3) Unmarked rifle cartridge. Approximately 3-inches overall. 4) Lot of 10 rifle cartridges. Various hand markings including ".40" and ".45-70." Headstamps include UMC and Winchester.


    Condition: 2) Good. Very strong black on cream top label. Loss to one lid flap. Bottom with paste removal damage. One cartridge is not native to the box. (1,3-4) Fine. Age wear and patina.
