    Description

Sioux Braves Butchering a Steer: A Rare 1888-dated J. C. Grabill Boudoir Cabinet Image. One Anglo man observes the process. Standing alone above the back row is a man who resembles Sitting Bull and wears a hat with feather similar to the one he was famously photographed wearing. However, the shadow from the brim of the hat makes certain identification problematic. Condition basically excellent, with minor corner wear and one soft clip in upper left-hand corner. Minor soiling on mount and interesting period notations on verso. . 9.5" x 6.75".
