    Description

Rare Cotton States Exposition Pin Made for the 1895 Cotton and International States Exposition in Atlanta, GA, this rare and unusual button pictures a black face popping through a cotton boll ready to be picked. The paper litho with celluloid overlay is in fine condition, with a pin attached to a solid back piece which reads "Pettibone Co Cin O" , referring to the Pettibone company which made magic lanterns, swords, and fraternal novelties as early as 1886. We have never seen this particular design before from this very obscure maker.
