Description

    Parlor Stove Trade Cards. Colorful collection of nine 19th-century trade cards for parlor stoves and related products. These vary in size and most have printing on both sides. The brands include: Peoria Oak, Brilliant, Gold Coin Ventiduct, Harvard Art, Model Grand, Stanley Argand, Mammoth and the City of Troy. A shield-shaped die cut card shows "Emma Nevada" and was issued by a Vallejo, California seller of New Star Coal. A handful of examples have minor glue discoloration from mounting in albums.
