    Description

NuGrape Soda Serving Tray. NuGrape Soda Company was created in the 1920s and produced advertising items much like Coca-Cola. This particular tray was made by The American Art Works Inc. in Coshocton, Ohio and features a young girl with a "bob" drinking a bottle of NuGrape Soda. The slogan "A flavor you can't forget" is written at the top and bottom of the tray. The tray measures 10.5" x 13.25 and presents in excellent condition. The edge of the tray is worn, displaying several scratches and patches where the coating has worn away. The central image is virtually untouched by wear and the back is mildly scratched and stamped with the numbers 1764.

We had a wonderful time in New York during the October 2013 Historical Manuscripts auction that featured my mother’s papers collected during her tenure as Martin Luther King, Jr.’s secretary. In fact, the entire experience from beginning to end has been a pleasure.
