    Description

Mail Pouch Chewing Tobacco Poster. 13.5" x 20.5". The colored poster, printed on cardboard, pictures an old man with a flowing beard being taunted by two young boys. The caption reads, "He Kept His Promise / Every old-time presidential campaign brought out its quota of ridiculous bets and promises. In 1884 one man declared that he would never shave until Blaine became president. Blaine's chances soon were forgotten but the beard grew longer every year." Surface soiling and a minor repair, else very good.
